Ghosted – Delete your account

The short version
- In the app: Profile › gear icon › More › Delete my account, on iOS and Android.
- Without the app: write to hello@ghosted.co.
- Your account is hidden at once and deleted for good after 30 days, with your profile, photos, matches and messages.
1 - Delete your account in the app
The same steps work on iPhone and Android:
- Open Ghosted and go to your Profile tab.
- Tap the gear icon at the top of your profile (or swipe left on it) to open Settings.
- Scroll to the More section and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted, tap Delete My Account, then confirm with Delete Forever.
You are signed out and your profile disappears from Ghosted immediately.
2 - Delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to hello@ghosted.co with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address of the Apple or Google account you sign in with. If you write from another address, tell us your first name and age as shown on your profile; we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before deleting it. We confirm by email once it is done, within one month at most.
3 - What happens next
- Right away: your account is deactivated. Other members can no longer see your profile, like you or message you.
- For 30 days: you can change your mind. Sign in again with the same Apple or Google account and choose to come back, or write to us.
- After 30 days: your account is permanently deleted: your profile, photos, bio and profile details, your matches and conversations, and your sign-in identity. This cannot be undone. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 90 days.
4 - What we keep, and for how long
A few records outlive the account because the law requires it or because they protect other members:

| Technical logs and analytics | Up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised |
| Support conversations | 3 years after the last exchange |

5 - Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play: the store bills it, so cancel it there (iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions; Android: Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions) to stop future renewals.
